CCUK has linked many people in companies in the sector through events, newsletters and a growing network of experts.

With this key area of focus, our goal is to safeguard and promote the skills required in the cosmetics and personal care industry, particularly in STEM areas.

The cosmetics and personal care industry is making major initiatives giving consideration to the environmental impact of its products and their use by consumers.

The cosmetics and personal care industry is very innovative, dynamic, creative and highly reliant on science and technology.

Our Approach

The bioeconomy is helping to shape the future of sustainability in the beauty industry, where the global natural products market is continually evolving and growing. However, there is a real need for knowledge transfer along the supply chain about how to get into the market competitively and how to overcome the common requirements and regulatory hurdles. Being originally founded in the chemicals sector, CCUK is ideally placed to act as a bridge between the bioeconomy and the cosmetics industry, bringing together industry experts and potential new ingredient suppliers and feedstock sources, and facilitating new business and manufacturing connections.

For example, CCUK led a panel discussion on this topic at the 2022 CHEMUK exhibition with our members giving talks on this subject. Check out the recording here
