Arthur Edward is celebrating 20 years in beauty and personal care recruitment, supporting clients, companies and candidates as they innovate, launch and market some of the world’s bestselling beauty products. Building on a successful career in FMCG recruitment, Heidi Bannister went solo and launched Arthur Edward Recruitment in 2002.
Naming the company after her grandfather and father-in-law, Arthur and Edward, and also the middle names of her father and two children, Heidi set to work from a desk in her bedroom. As the business grew, Heidi moved into a converted garage, quickly expanding the team and the office into a new space near Reading. A few years later, a second Arthur Edward office opened in London’s Covent Garden. And beyond the UK, key team members work remotely in Portugal and South Africa.
“I’m a passionate advocate for the beauty industry, and the inspiring people who work within it. The greatest reward for me is watching brands evolve and seeing peoples’ careers flourish.” commented Heidi Bannister.
In 2015, Arthur Edward Recruitment was listed in the Fortune 50; the 50 fastest growing women-led businesses. Showing their commitment to career development in practical ways, the company has run apprenticeships and training programmes. Heidi’s son Joe Bannister joined as Apprentice Recruitment Consultant in 2016 and now has a central role within the team as Recruitment Manager.
As an active supporter of Look Good Feel Better, the beauty industry’s charity for people living with cancer, Heidi regularly runs LGFB workshops, while the team takes on fundraising challenges.
